Q: What is the difference between your store and a thrift or consignment store?
A: A thrift store is usually associated with a charity for which a 501C status is filed with the STATE. Their inventory is donated and most likely not cleaned.
Their 501C status also affords them special financial benefits which are not enjoyed by a retail store such as Vintage Diversity, which purchases and cleans their inventory.  A consignment shop is similar to a retail shop. Their inventory is supplied by their consignors. The store owner sells for the consignor and a commission is received for selling.

Q: Do you consign vintage items?
A:We are not a consignment shop. Many confuse consignment with a store like mine. The items in my store were purchased, cleaned and curated. Consignment in term means a person leaves items with a store to be sold for them for a commission.

Q: Do you buy clothing?
A:We do buy authentic vintage clothing and other items (no resproductions) at a wholesale level. Now and then purchasing is suspended depending on time of year and whether the store is full or in need of new inventory. You may call to check that status during business hours of Wednesday-Saturday noon -5pm 954-566-7678.

A:Due to the single employee and owner at retirement age, Vintage Diversity is unable to offer additional hours open for Halloween season.
